There were a few performances I was looking forward to because everyone who was playing for his birthday was doing acoustic sets. And the one I was really really looking forward to was Kirk's performance. Kirk is the lead singer for Mothers Anthem, a band I love greatly. He hasn't done an acoustic show himself in a while, so it was really nice to see him up on the stage with a guitar. Kirk has a wonderful voice & I <3 listening to him sing. If nothing else his performance was worth the trip. But there were other reasons that made the trip worth it <3 He performed "The Color Black" which is a new song of Mothers Anthem, he sang an old song from Kirk Baxley & The Buckshot Jones Band, and sang "God Save The Queen" with a snip-it of "Give" in the middle which were songs from Greatness In Tragedy, a band he was in before Mothers Anthem. Another band performing was Shoreline's End, which I hadn't had the chance to see yet but a friend of mine Rachel talks about them all the time.
This guy was going around asking people if they wanted to sign a birthday card for Paco, and he had gotten him a big Star Wars card that plays the theme when you open it. I was like WIN!!! He said he hoped Paco would like it and I told him if Paco didn't I'd take the card LOL It rained on and off last night, which wasn't much fun for smokers ha ha. Jen kept bringing me around to all these people outside introducing me to them because she talks about me non-stop apparently LOL I <3 her. She had to cut out early because she had work but it was still so great to see her for a little bit.
Allison & I decided to head over to the after party since the place it was being held at was owned by Kim, whom Jen knows and loves her store. She has some very nice paintings hanging on her walls and there was one that had sushi on it and I immediately went "Mine!" ;)
She was making drinks and these drinks were strooooong. So that was fun ha ha! Paco's album was being played on the speakers and one of the moments I absolutely loved I have to thank a certain someone for <3
I love to dance, to all sorts of music, but I especially love to just slow dance. It's just a very nice/lovely moment between two people whether they're together or not. One of Paco's songs I absolutely love is "I Will Never Let You Go" and ever since I heard it I've always wanted to dance with someone to this song. Allison & I were sitting (or standing... lol) when the song came on so we started spinning each other just for fun. The song started over, which I thought was a bit weird o.O But anyway, two friends of ours were there and we danced with them a bit to the song. Made me happy I was able to dance to my favorite song <3 So thank you dear sir ;)

We hung out a bit longer before we headed back over to the hotel. We brought her dog with us since we were able to find a hotel that allowed pets for a cheap fee. It was only $10. Woke up and headed back home to Houston, where we hit MORE rain lol. It was a very wet weekend ha ha.
